The cheapest and most expensive areas to buy a house in Greater Manchester have now been revealed.
The latest house price data from the Land Registry shows the average cost to buy a property in every postcode area across the region, revealing the spots where you can bag a bargain home.
Farnworth in Bolton id the cheapest places to purchase a home in Greater Manchester. Homes in the BL4 postcode area sold for an average of £177,637 each in the last 12 months.
The next cheapest place to buy a property in our region is Clayton in Manchester, where houses sold for £182,612 each on average in the M11 postcode area.

On the other end of the scale, Altrincham is the most expensive area to buy a home with an average house price of £562,886.
The WA15 postcode area has the highest average sale price of any postcode in Greater Manchester to have had at least 50 sales over the last 12 months.
The WA14 area was the second most expensive place to buy a home in our region. The average property in this part of Altrincham sold for an average of £526,139 last year.
