He appears to have been underestimated in the market in a race full of improvers. While it was only a small Kempton race he won last time, it was the manner of his victory that took the eye. The second, third and fourth, were all in a handy position and Fifth Column had to really knuckle down and quicken from mid-pack to get by them.

Remarkably, she has run up at the top level in seven of her 10 lifetime races and has always been super competitive. Given a slight ease in grade for her return and with the Andrew Balding stable in such red-hot form, See The Fire can produce a telling late kick to jump-start her campaign.

There are only two in this line-up with recent winning form and a clear fitness edge and Alcantor is one of them. It may well pan out that he gets to race on the front end all by himself under jockey Ryan Moore. If that’s the case, he could prove too tough to peg back.

A completely unfancied 20/1 shot on his racecourse debut at Newmarket, yet was a dominant 4 1/2 length winner that day over a mile. He has a mixture of speed and stamina in his pedigree and it will be interesting to see if this 10f is as far as he goes up in trip. I Am I Said is well entered up and could announce himself as a real Epsom Derby contender with a victory in this Group 3 contest.
