Prince William receives alarming reminder as crown is inches away

Prince William received alarming news about the royal family amid reports that the Palace is preparing him to take over the crown, which could be sooner than later.

It is not a hidden fact that since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the firm, there have been questions about the decline in the number of working royals.

As of now, the members of the British royal family, who are undertaking royal engagements, are quite low, especially after King Charles and Princess Kate’s cancer diagnosis.

Now, a royal commentator delivered a worrying update to the future King William, as in his reign, the royals, including Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and other aged members might not be able to serve the monarchy.

According to Daily Mail, Christopher Wilson said, “The return of Prince Edward and wife Sophie from their hugely successful State Visit to Japan serves as a reminder to the future king that when his time comes, there’s almost nobody left to send abroad on these vital goodwill missions.”

He recalled, “Once, there was a raft of royals who filled out the 25-yard wide Buckingham Palace balcony. Slowly, one by one, they’ve drifted away.”

Christopher shares that in 2011, almost twelve big figures from the royal household performed significant public-facing duties. They covered 3,874 engagements in the UK and abroad.

However, “by 2024, the last figures available, the personnel had dropped by two down to ten – but the overall attendance figures had shrunk by almost half to 2,168.”

On the other hand, the royal expert shed light on William’s intelligence and said that he might have used his non-working cousins, Zara Tindall, Peter Phillips, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, to strengthen his reign, which appears to be inches closer.
