Thousands of homes across north Wales have been plunged into darkness as Storm Amy wreaks havoc on the electricity network. Scottish Power engineers are battling to reconnect supplies to affected properties.

In one impacted location at Bodorgan on Anglesey, the energy firm stated: “We apologise for the continued interruption of power in the LL62 postcode area of Bodorgan.
