A mum has posted a desperate appeal to find her teenage daughter who has gone missing in Birmingham.

Aaliyah was reported missing in the city on Thursday, September 18 and now police and her mum have issued appeals to locate her whereabouts with concerns for her wellbeing.

Her mum Charise has posted on the Bartley Green Community Facebook page asking for people to help find the 18-year-old.

Aaliyah appears to have links to Bartley Green and also to Walsall and Wolverhampton in the Black Country.

The teen is described as being 5ft 2ins tall and has short black hair – as pictured.

In an emotional post mum Charise said: “I can’t believe I am writing this, my daughter is missing, so please do not speculate or assume anything.

“We just want her home safe and well. But please share and if you have any information contact the police or myself, thank you.”

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Have you seen Aaliyah?

“The 18-year-old has gone missing from the Birmingham area and we’re really concerned for her welfare.

“Aaliyah also has links to Walsall and Wolverhampton.

“Aaliyah is around 5ft 2ins tall with short black hair.

“If you see her ring 999 immediately quoting PID number 1124279.”
