This is the moment police stormed a Ryanair flight that landed in Edinburgh before escorting an individual from the plane.

The incident is understood to have happened on flight FR2970, which was due to leave Tenerife on September 29 at 7.30pm. Its actual time of departure was 9.08pm, and it eventually landed in Edinburgh in 1.30am.

As Edinburgh Live reports, while the plane was in the air, the pilot made an announcement regarding the behaviour of some of those on board. When they landed in the capital, police were waiting on the runway and boarded the plane before an individual was escorted off.

One passenger who was recording himself on the flight said: “The pilot has just said if it continues he might have to divert.

“That’s what might happen, there will be delays. Lets hope this doesn’t happen.

“This is the first time in the history of me flying with Ryanair that his has ever happened.”

A clip posted online then shows two police cars and a police van parked up on the runway waiting for the plane as they land. The pilot then tells passengers: “The police will be entering the aircraft in the front, so please do remain seated with your seatbelts fastened.

“We do apologise for the delay, and once this is sorted we’ll get you on your way as soon as possible.”
