Ghost of Yotei First Impressions Poll

We don’t usually do polls for first impressions, but many of you reading this will have spent close to the whole weekend slicing through Ghost of Yotei — and so we think it’s worth asking for your initial opinions.

What makes Yotei an especially interesting subject is the different ways in which it had already been discussed ahead of launch. There were plenty of people saying that it simply looked too similar to Ghost of Tsushima, and as a result, it felt like there was a surprising degree of wariness surrounding the sequel.

But now that we’ve all had time to actually play it, has Yotei smashed expectations? That’s what we’re here to find out, for the most part.

For what it’s worth, we loved Sucker Punch’s latest in our Ghost of Yotei PS5 review, awarding it an ‘excellent’ 9/10. It received similarly high review scores from outlets all over the web, and it currently sits as one of the most critically acclaimed releases of the year.

And based on what we’ve seen across social media and the like, players seem to be having a blast with Atsu’s adventure as well. The sheer amount of gorgeous photo mode shots we’ve already gawked at is crazy.

Oh, and while you’re here, be sure to give our Ghost of Yotei guide a look if you’re wanting to 100% the game.

Now then, it’s your turn. What are your first impressions of Ghost of Yotei? Vote in our polls, and then provide some details in the comments section below.

He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
