It is understood Kate Middleton will be in the city on Thursday, October 9 to meet with families and volunteers. The exact location cannot be disclosed before the visit.

The 43-year-old was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 and confirmed she was free from the disease at the start of this year.

During the summer, she opened up about her “rollercoaster” cancer recovery, its life-changing impact, and putting on a “brave face” during a visit to Colchester Hospital.

On October 2, the Princess of Wales performed a loop-the-loop in an RAF Typhoon jet simulator in Lincolnshire as she met pilots on the front line of the UK’s air defences.

Oxfordshire will welcome another member of the royal family to the county this week.

Meanwhile, Princess Anne will visit Carterton’s Women’s Institute on the occasion of its 100th anniversary in Brize Norton Road on Thursday,

In addition, she will attend a reception for RAF Brize Norton’s 24 Squadron’s 110th anniversary.

In July, the King visited the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies to celebrate the naming of the King Charles III Wing and launch of the King Charles III Programme.

The event brought together trustees, students, alumni and interfaith representatives in the centre’s auditorium, with His Majesty delivering remarks following an address by Dr Nizami, the centre’s director.

The visit concluded with a reception in the King Charles III Garden.
