A man has been charged with weapons offences following an incident in Widnes. Thomas Whitley, 29, was arrested at around 12.35pm on Sunday, October 5 in the Heath Road area of Widnes.
Whitley, of Smithy Lane, Widnes, has since been charged with possession of a knife in a public place and making threats to a person with an offensive weapon.
He appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 7, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday, November 4.
The charges relate to an incident that occurred in the Lincoln Square area of Widnes on Saturday, October 4.
