Leigh Leopards

In an update to club membership, Leigh Leopards have announced when new signings will be confirmed, as well as a positive IMG update with the club set to increase their score.

Last year marked the first official grades and Leigh were one of nine clubs to score a Grade A, something that guarantees a spot in Super League, but the club have now claimed that score will increase.

Leigh’s total of 15.13 is set to be improved upon by at least one whole point with a statement from club owner Derek Beaumont confirming that news.

Announcing that 2026 memberships were on sale, Beaumont said: “The success of the club is down to its members and it’s encouraging to see the continued growth of our Famileigh.

“We have not only retained our Grade A status but have increased out score significantly into the sixteens with the possibility of achieving a score starting with 17, depending how the season ends.”

Leigh Leopards set to announce more retentions and new signings as membership update offered

With Leigh losing in the Super League semi-finals against Wigan, it means they rank third on performance and ultimately miss out on the 0.75 points boost that they would have earned should they lift the Grand Final.

With that in mind, club owner Derek Beaumont has explained: “We are ranked third on performance across all clubs over the last three years which is a remarkable achievement from Adrian and the players, and it is your support that has seen us increase our score on attendance, utilisation and fandom, which is vital for the club. We have had another fantastic season that is not yet over again reached a semi-final.”

Having had such a succcessful season to date, the Leopards have been announcing a number of key player retentions but there is more to come per the statement, with Lachlan Lam the latest to commit to the club.

As for recruitment, Beaumont explained: “We have started to announce some retentions with more to follow along with some new signings that will be announced at the end of the season.

“We have faced strong competition on retentions and signings in particular the marquee area, where there is no cap limit.”

Whilst all of the above was a wholly positive update for Leigh fans, it was confirmed that their membership deals would be increasing in cost with the explanations given below.

Beaumont explained: “This combined with other pressures like minimum wage increase and increase in teams as the club continues to grow has seen us apply a small increase to our memberships, which I would hope our members understand.”
