Katie Rourke won the half marathon in a time of 1 hour, 16 minutes, 49 seconds, more than a minute ahead of Olympic marathoner Freya Ross from Falkirk Victoria Harriers.
Vet 70 runner David Nightingale secured an age category 3rd.
On Saturday, October 4, four Harriers headed to Tollcross Park, Glasgow for the Scottish Veteran Harriers Club trials for the British and Irish Masters XC Championships.

Three of the club’s ladies secured automatic selection to represent Scotland in Leeds in November.
Katy Barden was 3rd overall, just 14 seconds behind the winner and age category 1st.
Pamela Baillie was 6th overall and age category 2nd, just five seconds behind the 1st runner in her age category.
Julia Johnstone was 22nd overall and 1st in her age category. For the men, Marcus D’Agrosa was 12th overall, missing out on selection in the V35 category.
On Wednesday, October 1, the Scottish Schools Athletics Road Race Championships were held in Dunfermline, Harriers running for their own schools.

Top finisher on the day was Earlston High School second year pupil Molly Trewartha who was just pipped into 4th place in a sprint finish.
Also in the top five, Earlston’s S6 pupil Ava Richardson who finished 5th.
Kelso’s Oliver Hastie and Earlston’s Seb Darlow had excellent top 15 finishes in 11th and 14th in the S5/S6 race.
Also breaking into the top 20 were Earlston’s Angus McCarty (20th), Gala Academy’s Freya Ainslie (20th ) and Galashiels Academy’s Poppy Lunn (19th) and Selkirk’s Holly Craig (19th).
