Stephen Bear’s life is very different after he ditched the United Kingdom. The convicted sex offender once had a glamorous life, appearing on TV, walking red carpets and endorsement deals left, right and centre. But things took a dramatic turn.

In March 2023, the disgraced TV personality was found guilty of voyeurism as well as two counts of disclosing private, sexual photographs and films after sharing explicit footage of his ex-girlfriend, Georgia Harrison, on OnlyFans in 2020. He served 10 and a half months of a 21-month sentence.

Last year, the Crown Prosecution Service announced he was slapped with a Confiscation Order of £22,305 to retrieve the cash he had gained from publishing the explicit content on OnlyFans. The judge ordered that Georgia be compensated £5,000. But while Georgia’s life is flourishing, she’s awarded an MBE for campaigning on violence against women and girls, Stephen’s is very different.

After his prison release, he claimed he had ‘no money’ and ‘cried himself to sleep’ as he slept in his parents’ spare room. In August 2023, it was reported that Bear put his three-bed Essex home on the market for £525,000. In September 2023, Bear’s loyal fiancée Jessica Smith had ditched him, having previously vowed to stick by Bear’s side.

Nowadays, he’s living in Brazil, often sharing insights into his life on TikTok. It was on the video-sharing platform that he taunted the police while parading his 18-year-old girlfriend, now-wife, who he married in July this year.

“The police can’t catch me now,” Bear bragged. “Life’s good. I thought I’d come on here guys and say I love you all, simple as that. I love you all. Stay true, because this year I’m fully active, I’m off licence. The police, they could still be after me, but I’m in Brazil. They can’t catch me now. Catch me if you can.”

He went on to add: “I’m in Brazil, I don’t know if you’ve heard. This is my 18-year-old Latina girlfriend, say hello baby. We just chilling, I got eight music videos I got to shoot while I’m in Brazil. Thinking of looking at some property while I’m over here.”

Taking to social media in July to share that he’d gotten married, he shared a string of snaps of himself and his wife, writing: “MY WEDDING . MR AND MRS BEAR.” The disgraced TV personality had “Noivo” written on his glasses, which is Portuguese for groom.

One video also showed him picking up his 18-year-old wife, who was wearing a lacy white gown, while attempting to serenade her with his own rendition of “I love you baby”. One social media post also saw Bear, who claims to “be a man of God”, trying to raise funds for an impossible 30 metre high statue of himself.

He also told his online followers that God had instructed him to “bring luck” to the people of Brazil. He even launched a GoFundMe to raise the cash for the statue. On the page, he wrote: “Hi, my name is Stephen Bear. I have been chosen from God to bring you good luck and positive energy.

“I am looking to build a statue in Brazil named ‘Christ The Bear’ I want Christ the Redeemer to have a twin brother. The statue I would like to build would be the exact same size and weight as Christ the Redeemer. I would find it disrespectful for my statue to be exactly the same, so my statue of ‘Christ the Bear’ would be made in a gold colour.

“Not real solid gold as that material would be too hot to touch in the Brazil climate. Everyone who would come to visit my statue in Brazil would get good luck. I would also be a tourist attraction for everyone around the world so I would be good for the economy. The local people will help construct ‘Christ the Bear’ so I will also create jobs. Donate what you can. As you know I am a man of the people so join me on my project to save the world. Stay cool baby.”

Bear had hoped to raise a staggering £7,500 for the statue but was instantly hit with backlash. In another social media post, he was asked his opinion on intimate image abuse. “Woo, spicy!” he said while laughing. He continued: “We finally got a really juicy question, get your popcorn ready, it’s going to be a banger.

“So my opinion on revenge porn…,” as he launched into a mimed rant.
