Two men from London have been charged after an attack in the Black Country.

West Midlands Police said two people were armed with weapons gained entry to an address and a man was assaulted in Dudley on October 5.

Police said that money was then demanded before an attempted kidnap.

Police said the arrests were made at addresses in the London area before being taken back to the West Midlands.

Tai Diedrick, aged 27, from Croydon, and Aman-ra Teko, aged 23, from Lambeth, have now been charged in connection with the incident.

In a statement, police said: “#CHARGED | We have charged two men with kidnap, aggravated burglary, possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possessing a knife.

“Tai Diedrick, aged 27, from Croydon and Aman-ra Teko, aged 23, from Lambeth, were both remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (Wed) for a first hearing.

“It follows an incident on 5 October in Dudley where two men armed with weapons gained entry to an address and a man was assaulted.

“Money was then demanded before an attempted kidnap.

“The arrests were made at addresses in the London area before being taken back to the West Midlands.

“The case has been investigated by Dudley local CID officers.”
