A luxury Welsh hotel has been put up for sale priced at nearly £2m. But there isn’t a place where humans can come on holiday. The Millin Brook Luxury Dog Boarding is a “thriving” hotel for dogs in Pembrokeshire. Whoever buys it will also be able to call a five-bedroom house their home.

It currently operates as a family run business owned by Sian and Dave Smith who moved to the area from Cardiff in November 2017, where they worked as police officers. They later transferred to Dyfed Powys Police before opening Millin Brook Luxury Dog Boarding in September 2020.

Listed by Kings Corporate, the dog hotel spans 10.8 acres of south facing land that is fenced throughout and is separated into one large paddock. Love dreamy Welsh homes? Sign up to our newsletter here

However, the family home is completely separate from the kennels, and provides a “stunning south-facing outlook across the valley.”

The house also offers three bathrooms, a large kitchen/dining room, large lounge, study, utility room, and a conservatory with a large patio area outside for entertaining.

In terms of facilities for dogs, it offers 10 glass-fronted luxury kennels, and a dog adventure play park, two large fields, two acres of woodland; a small orchard and a stream which is the boundary to the land.

King Corporate states that the business generates over £190,000 in annual income and is a “market-leading business in the thriving pet care sector”.

The site is tucked away in the Pembrokeshire countryside, but is just a mile off the A40 – which is the main trunk road running through Pembrokeshire.

Further, dog friendly beaches are also within a 20 minute drive from the site, and other exploration opportunities like Pembrokeshire coast spanning and the Preseli Hills are nearby.

The entire site would cost a prospective buyer £1,999,950.
