SPEEDWAY action at Owlerton for 2025 concluded in thrilling style with a National Development League contest which was decided in a Super Heat.

The Autocraft Steelers and Leicester Lion Cubs couldn’t be separated over the 15 programmed races – but it was the visitors who snatched victory in the Super Heat with a 7-2.

The hosts charged into a 12 point lead with six races gone, but the Lion Cubs chipped away at that gap in the second half of the meeting.

There was plenty of entertaining action throughout with talented young Brit Luke Harrison top scoring for the Steelers with Cooper Rushen and Max Perry both scoring 12 for the visitors.
