Norwood in Barrhead held a resident-themed day recently that placed gratitude and community at the heart of the occasion.
Residents and staff welcomed Provost Mary Montague and a volunteer from the local food bank for a special thanksgiving lunch.
The Provost commended the residents, relatives and staff for their generosity and community spirit, while the food bank volunteer expressed deep gratitude for the donations and ongoing support.
Sue Mackle, the home’s manager, said: “The idea for the day came from the residents themselves, who wished to show their appreciation and support for the local community.
“In the lead-up to the event, residents, relatives and staff helped collect a generous donation of non-perishable food items, which were presented to the food bank in Barrhead during the lunch.”
