Sheffield United have been struggling for goals so far this season and need to add more firepower to their squad in the January transfer window.

The Blades have lost eight of their first nine league games. They were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the first round stage by Birmingham City back in August.
They are in the drop zone along with rivals Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford United. The South Yorkshire outfit are four points from safety behind Blackburn Rovers in 21st.
Chris Wilder was sacked this past summer after their play-off final loss at Wembley to Sunderland. Ex-Southampton, Reading and Hull City man Ruben Selles was subsequently appointed as his replacement.
The Spaniard’s spell at Bramall Lane turned out to be a disaster though and he was sacked last month. Wilder was then re-appointed but has won only one of his first four matches since coming back.
Sheffield United were beaten 1-0 away at Hull City last time out before the international. They need reinforcements this winter and should look at Hibernian striker Kieron Bowie.
Sheffield United should target Hibernian striker Kieron Bowie
Bowie, 23, has potential to get better down the line and would be a useful long-term addition for Sheffield United. SUFC need more competition for the likes of Tyrese Campbell, Danny Ings and Tom Cannon and the Scotsman would be ideal.
Hibernian snapped him up back in 2024 and he has since become one of their key players. However, they could face a battle to keep him at Easter Road with the way things are going.

He has scored 10 goals in 36 games so far for the Edinburgh outfit, four of which have come this term, and he has also chipped in with four assists. His contract expires in June 2028.
Bowie rose up through the academy ranks at Raith Rovers and broke into their first-team as a teenager before Fulham lured him down the border to England. He never played for the Cottagers’ senior team though and was loaned out twice to Northampton Town, where he found the net on 14 occasions in 85 outings overall.

Why Sheffield United should swoop for Kieron Bowie
Sheffield United need to think outside the box with their recruitment as they look to claw themselves up the league. SUFC’s summer additions were rushed and haven’t gelled well.
Bowie is someone who has played a decent amount of matches for someone of his age and has proved he can score goals. He is quick, has an effective left foot and likes to get in behind defenders which would give the Blades something different to call upon.
Wilder’s men are back in action on Saturday 18th October as they look to start picking up more results. They face a home clash against Watford.
