Munster Rugby and Edinburgh Rugby are set to clash under the lights at Virgin Media Park in Cork as Round 3 of the United Rugby Championship continues. 

The Irish province, ranked No. 2 in the FloRugby Club Rankings, will look to impose its forward power and home advantage, while Edinburgh travels across the Irish Sea seeking a statement result early in its campaign. Both sides know matches like this shape the rhythm of the long URC season.

For Edinburgh, the trip to Cork marks a reset after its Round 2 postponement. Head Coach Sean Everitt emphasized that his team’s focus has fully shifted to the challenge at hand. 

“We have put last week’s postponement behind us, and we’re focussed entirely on the task at hand,” Everitt said. “It’s a completely different challenge this week – a tough test against Munster at a difficult venue in Cork.”

Everitt added that the group’s attitude in training has impressed the coaching staff. 

“There’s been a massive amount of growth already within this group,” he said. “With so many new and fresh faces, particularly the exciting young players coming through. There’s a great energy throughout the squad.”
