Liverpool need to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
Although the international break is often frowned upon, October’s break genuinely doesn’t feel like it could have come at a better time for Liverpool.
The Reds were in a massive slump, with Arne Slot’s men managing to lose their last three games across all competitions.
In fact, things were so bad that some fans were even calling for the head of the Dutchman and for Mohamed Salah to be dropped.
And, while these were likely just reactionary takes after losing against Chelsea, it shows how much can change in such a short space of time.

Liverpool were touted to be the favourites to win the Premier League this term, but most fans and pundits, such as Gary Lineker, have now changed their minds and believe Arsenal will win it.
Pat Nevin says Liverpool must become a well-drilled team before even thinking about winning the Premier League
Although things haven’t been at their best for the last few games with Liverpool, the fact that they’re second in the Premier League shows how well they’ve actually done.
Despite losing two top-flight games, they’re still just one point behind first-place Arsenal, a team that they’ve already beaten this term.
And now, while speaking to BBC Sport, former Everton man Pat Nevin has given his thoughts on what Liverpool need to do so that they can secure the Premier League title.
“Three defeats in three have not quite got the alarm bells ringing at Anfield, though Liverpool clearly have a few problems,” he said.
“Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak and Mohamed Salah have not yet gelled as a unit.
“They look more like a group of ultra-talented individuals than a well-drilled team, and this must change if they are going to defend their title.”
Arne Slot must figure out a way to get his Liverpool team to gel soon
Individually, Liverpool have some of the world’s best players among their ranks.
The likes of Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, and Mohamed Salah would get into almost any team across the globe, with many expecting Liverpool to be untouchable this term.
And, while that may have been the case at the start of the season, since their 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace, cracks have started to show.

It’s clear that even though we’re over a month into the 2025-26 season now that most of Liverpool’s players haven’t got used to the way their teammates play.
This is a massive concern because, if things don’t get better soon, they may as well kiss their title hopes goodbye.
