An Anlaby gym has recently reopened following a refurbishment that has seen the arrival of new equipment including bikes and performance treadmills. East Riding Leisure Haltemprice marked the occasion in late September with the hosting of the Les Mills launch roadshow, featuring a range of free exercise classes led by guest Les Mills presenters.
The revamped gym area at the leisure centre, off Springfield Way, has undergone a deep clean, as well as being freshly painted and decorated. Electrical works were also carried out to install the new equipment during a 13-day closure.
The new additions include a hack squat, half rack and performance treadmills. The refurbishment also saw the installation of new Matrix bikes in the Cycle X studio.
Councillor Nick Coultish, cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism at East Riding Of Yorkshire Council, said: ”The opening of the new gym at East Riding Leisure Haltemprice was a real success. Many people attended the centre for the launch of the Les Mills roadshow and to try out the new, state-of-the-art equipment.
“We have invested in the gym to provide value for money and the best experience possible to our existing members and new members alike.”
