Scotland is renowned as a winter holiday destination, with many journeying to the country for its Christmas markets. While Edinburgh’s markets are perhaps the best-known, Glasgow’s are also beloved amongst locals and tourists alike.

Currently, Wowcher is offering a “magical four-star Christmas shopping break” for two at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow. The hotel features a restaurant, an indoor pool, and a gym.

Holidaymakers can book a one or two-night stay at the hotel, with prices starting from £99 plus a £3.99 admin fee. Visitors can choose from room-only, breakfast, or dinner-inclusive packages with leisure access.

Upon arrival, guests will receive a complimentary welcome drink of either Prosecco, beer, wine, or a soft drink. The Wowcher deal also includes a 20 per cent discount on all food and beverages purchased during the stay.

Glasgow has a near-limitless supply of accommodation options for those uninterested in the Crowne Plaza Glasgow. These include both budget hotels and high-end luxury stays.

Among the popular hotels in the centre of Glasgow are the Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre and Moxy Glasgow Merchant City. Elsewhere, the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel is a five-star hotel with a spa, a gym, and a restaurant.

The Crowne Plaza Glasgow itself has earned mostly very positive feedback from guests. On travel website Tripadvisor, the hotel has a rating of four out of five after 3,484 reviews.

“One of the attractions for this hotel is that it’s easy to get to and has excellent car parking facilities. Compared to other hotels we have stayed in, we never have any worries on finding a parking space, regardless of the time of day.”

On the other hand, a three-star review reads: “It was a clean hotel but I wasn’t impressed with the breakfast. The dinner was delicious though.”

Another satisfied guest shared: “Check in was brilliant. Room was spacious on the 24th floor with amazing views of the water and the Armadillo and OVO.
