Back with a bold new look, Scotland’s largest wedding showcase, The Scottish Wedding Show, returns to the SEC, Glasgow this weekend, ready to welcome thousands of engaged couples from across the country looking to plan their dream day.
Sponsored by James Porter & Son, The Scottish Wedding Show brings together 220 of the UK’s leading wedding suppliers under one roof, giving brides and grooms-to-be everything they need to make their celebration truly unforgettable. From venues and weddingwear to entertainment, flowers and décor, visitors can find inspiration for every detail of their big day. This year, organisers have noted a growing demand for alternative and standout wedding entertainment and are set to welcome a host of showstopping suppliers to the October show, from live performers and interactive acts to dramatic displays such as firebreathers.
Returning to The Scottish Wedding Show this weekend is The University of Glasgow. Previously only available for students, staff, alumni or their children, the historic venue is for the first time opening its doors to all couples looking for a unique setting for their big day. Also exhibiting at the show is bespoke bridal wear from Lorelle Atara Couture; Studio Mazzolino floral; Blair Teska ceilidh band; Levels 360 who offer pancake cart hire; and Scotsman Group offering stag and hen party options.
Speaking about the upcoming event, QD Events’ Portfolio Director, Nikki Stokoe said:
