As fans will know, B&M really is a one stop shop for so many essentials and can be a great place to restock every room of the house. From wall to ceiling shelves of shampoos and shower gels, to microwaves and other kitchen goods plus food, drinks, toys and DIY items, there really is an endless amount to shop for.

B&M shoppers at a few stores in Liverpool might find themselves coming across even more than they bargained for however and a few locations offer more than the average in terms of home improvement items.

Extending their discounted offerings into the garden, there are six B&M stores in Liverpool with their very own garden centres.

  • The locations of these are:
  • Utting Avenue, Walton, Merseyside, L4 9XU
  • Speke Hall Road, Hunts Cross, Merseyside, L24 9WA
  • Switch Island Leisure Park, Dunnings Bridge Road, Bootle, Merseyside, L30 6TQ
  • Unit 6, New District Centre, Great Homer Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, L5 3LQ
  • Tebay Retail Park, Tebay Road, Bromborough, Wirral, Merseyside, CH62 3AB
  • Units 1 & 2, Central 12 Retail Park, Derby Road, Southport, Merseyside, PR9 0TQ

I stumbled across the branch on Great Homer Street and after spotting it had a garden centre I knew I had to check it out.

The garden centre is found at the back of the store and customers can access it through sliding doors which lead out onto a concrete yard.

Here, you can find everything from wooden trellis panels to flowers with a lot on offer in terms of garden DIY items.

There was a decent selection of garden furniture too including benches, sheds and bird feeders.

For big jobs, shoppers can find paving slabs, massive bags of soil, artificial turfs and bags sand, gravel, and decorative crushed stone.

There was even a section dedicated to fuel.

For planting, there was a selection of plant pots, however compared to the choice at Home Bargains’ garden centre in Speke, it was disappointingly grey.

The flower selection wasn’t huge either though there were option for hanging baskets or things to plant in the ground, plus some larger potted plants.

Overall, this seemed more of a paradise for garden construction than for floral decorations, but it’s worth a look in if you have any big outdoor jobs on the horizon.
