Pakistan pacer Ihsanullah believes No.1 T20 batter Abhishek Sharma won’t be much of a challenge to him, and he can get rid of the dangerous opener within an over. Abhishek Sharma had a staggering Asia Cup, where he scored 314 runs and played a key role in India’s triumph. “Abhishek Sharma mere samne 6 ball se zyada nahi tik payenga. Main usse teen ball mein out kar doonga.”
Ihsanullah said that he will trouble Abhishek with his inswingers and bouncers. “My 140 (kmph) will feel like 160 to him. He won’t be able to judge them. To left-handers, I bowl inswingers, and he has struggled against such deliveries. That’s why I am saying. I target the right shoulder of left-hand batsmen, and my bouncers are effective.
Who Is Ihsanullah?Ihsanullah, a 6’5″ fast bowler, grabbed the limelight during the PSL 2023 where he won the PSL Player of the Tournament and Bowler of the Tournament honours. His spell against Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Quetta Gladiators, where he picked 5/12 while playing for the Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans, was the highlight of the tournament. His pace, mostly averaging north of 144kph, touched 154.5kph in that spell, making him the talk of the town. Ihsanullah made his debut for Pakistan in 2023, but his career never took off. He could only pick six T20I wickets in his career, where he played four T20Is and an ODI.
Ihsanullah is known to make attention-grabbing remarks. Earlier, he had vowed to break Umran Malik’s record of fastest delivery in IPL. “Will try. Umran Malik bowled at around 157 kph. I will try to bowl faster than that. Umran Malik Se Upar karunga (Will do more than Umran Malik). 160 kph karunga,” he told paktv.tv.
