A teenage boy was arrested by police probing car cannibalism offences in Birmingham.
The 17-year-old suspect was held on suspicion of conspiring to steal from a motor vehicle in relation to car stripping offences.
He was arrested in the Saltley area yesterday, Thursday, April 24, West Midlands Police said.

He was later bailed subject to strict conditions.
This included being inside during evenings, police added.
In a statement, police said: “We have arrested a teenager in connection with car cannibalism offences in Birmingham.
“We issued an appeal for information to identify a potential suspect earlier this month.

“Following enquiries our Vehicle Crime Team arrested a 17-year-old boy from an address in the Saltley area yesterday (24 April).
“He was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to steal from a motor vehicle in relation to car stripping offences – also known as car cannibalism.
“The 17-year-old was bailed with strict conditions – which includes having to remain indoor during evenings – pending further enquiries.
“We take all vehicle crime, including car cannibalism seriously, and it is a priority to tackle this incredibly distressing crime.”
