A woman has been charged in connection with directing threatening and abusive behaviour towards a pro-Palestine protest in Glasgow.

A crowd gathered at the steps on Buchanan Street after the demonstration began in Glasgow Green on Saturday afternoon.

The march was led by Jim Hickey, who was one of four Scots detained after the Global Sumud Flotilla was intercepted by Israeli armed forces.

Police Scotland has confirmed that a woman was charged in connection with threatening and abusive behaviour towards those taking part in the demonstration.

A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 28-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with threatening and abusive behaviour towards people involved in protest activity in Glasgow city centre on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
