Hibernian 3-2 Rangers

Hibernian came from two goals down to defeat title rivals Rangers and climb up to third in the SWPL table, leapfrogging Leanne Crichton’s side in the process.

Katie Wilkinson put Rangers’ ahead after 12 minutes, before converting from the spot after Siobhan Hunter had pulled Jodi McLeary down in the box.

That two-goal cushion barely lasted 10 minutes before Rosie Livingstone scored a comical goal – going down in the box, getting to her feet, scrambling the ball away from the keeper, hitting the post, and then tucking in the rebound.

That gave the hosts hope, and two goals in four minutes turned the game on its head.

First, Eilidh Adams squared for top scorer Kathleen McGovern to tuck home, before Tegan Bowie turned her marker inside out before squaring to Adams, who fired in a great finish.

It’s only Rangers’ second loss of the season, but their second consecutively in the league after losing to Glasgow City a fortnight ago, and it leaves them six points behind the league leaders.
