Prince William, Princess Kate put Harry, Meghan feud behind for key reason
Royal fans must be delighted as the royal family’s ‘fab four, Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle join forces to carry on a meaningful mission.
For the unversed, the Prince and Princess of Wales marked World Mental Health Day last week with two significant messages.
First, William appeared in an emotional video, urging people to seek help to prevent suicide. On the other hand, Catherine highlighted the issue of growing isolation, particularly among the younger generation, due to excessive social media use.
Similarly, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s efforts to shed light on the serious harm caused by digital spaces have been recognised with the Humanitarian Award at the World Mental Health Day gala in New York.
Now, royal expert Jennie Bond shared that the outings of royal family members were not due to their years-long rivalry, but they are promoting a meaningful cause on different platforms.
In conversation with the Mirror, she said, “I don’t think this is a rivalry between Harry and Meghan and William and Catherine. The two princes and Catherine were involved in mental health issues before Meghan came along. It is something they care deeply about.”
The royal commentator added, “The message that both couples are now promoting is that society has to do something about the dangers that the Internet, and particularly social media, pose to our children. It is an important message, and one that affects us all.”
Jennie believes that William, Kate, Harry and Meghan should be “applauded” as they are using their fame to talk about the crucial issue of the hour.
