Cherished comedy series The Inbetweeners could be staging a massive return next year, with all four original stars reportedly keen on the potential reunion.
Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas are understood to be enthusiastic about the proposals.
The E4 comedy struck gold with viewers as the three series aired from 2008 to 2010. The programme’s popularity even spawned two cinema releases that arrived in 2011 and 2014.

The programme’s creators have now hinted they are devising fresh escapades for the four legendary characters – Jay Cartwright, Will McKenzie, Neil Sutherland and Simon Cooper.
Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, who masterminded the series, are understood to have inked an agreement with production firm Banijay UK.
Chief executive Patrick Holland revealed he was “delighted to pick up the conversation about the future of The Inbetweeners with them”.
He informed the Sun: “They have an infectious creative vision for the brand which will resonate with audiences old and new.”
Iain and Damon remarked: “It’s incredibly exciting to be plotting more adventures for our four favourite friends (ooh, friends).”, reports the Mirror.
The firm have secured an agreement that can “bring The Inbetweeners back” spanning cinema, television and theatre.
The Inbetweeners’ cast have shown enthusiasm for the prospect of a reunion as Joe Thomas, who portrayed Simon, revealed they would all fancy getting involved.
When questioned about whether there had been any discussions, he hinted: “Yes, it’s happened in various forms.
“All of us feel it would be nice to do. We’re all still around. We’re all still in each other’s lives. We all still like each other. And if it was something that came up, I think we would want to do it.”
During the summer months, supporters became convinced something was in the works after Joe and James Buckley, who portrayed Jay, shared a rather mysterious post.
In the snaps uploaded to Instagram, Joe and James posed together during a photoshoot.
The duo kept their cards close to their chest, with James writing: “Working on something..”
One supporter questioned: “Inbetweeners 3?” whilst another outlined their hopes should a get-together materialise.
Someone commented: “We need an inbetweeners reunion. Set 10/15 years later. Jay gets married and carnage ensues. American Pie reunion showed that it can be done well,” adding a fingers crossed emoji to finish their message.
A third supporter simply penned: “Inbetweeners 3, we waiting,” while another quipped: “Where are the other two melons?”.
Last year, James, who is father to sons Harrison, 14, and 12 year old Jude, confessed that agreeing to reprise the character that launched his career would be the most lucrative move for his finances.
He revealed to OK!: “It’s no secret that would be the most profitable thing I could go into right now. I do have children, I do have a family, I do have bills, and sometimes you’ve got to take that into consideration, just as a practical thing, a boring, dull, provider of a family thing.
“All that stuff I do think about and what’s great is I know, if four of us boys get together – and [writers] Iain Morris and Damon – and we all have a little chat and we said ‘Shall we go again?’ I know it would be greenlit straight away!”.
