Crash on M60 between a car and motorbike
A man has tragically died after a four-vehicle crash on the M60 motorway.
The smash happened on the clockwise side of the motorway near Salford at around 6.15pm last night (Sunday). It involved three cars and a motorbike, Greater Manchester Police said.
A full closure was put in place between between junction 15 for the M61 and Swinton Interchange, to J16 for the A666 Manchester Road as emergency crews worked on the scene.

Sadly, the rider of the motorbike died after suffering fatal injuries. He was aged in his 60s, police said.
The drivers of two of the cars were arrested. Both were men, one aged in his 20s and one aged in his 30s.
Both were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They have been taken into custody for questioning.
Both carriageways were fully closed off after the crash, leading to heavy traffic and long queues into Sunday evening.
A diversion route was put in place on the clockwise carriageway as police and paramedics responded.
Collision investigation work was carried out overnight, with one lane remaining closed off until around 7.30am this morning – more than 12 hours after the incident happened.

Police in GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit now want to speak to any witnesses, or anyone who has footage of the crash.
A spokesperson said: “Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact us.
“They are also keen to speak to anyone who may dashcam footage from the area in the moments leading up to the crash and can be contacted on 0161 856 4741 quoting log 2294-12/10/2025.
