Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Monday’s episode (13 October), which is available to watch now on streaming service Channel 4 and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
Hollyoaks has revealed an intriguing cliffhanger for Mercedes McQueen, as two characters make an unexpected appearance.
Mercedes is currently pregnant with Tony’s baby, and Diane was horrified to discover that her fiancé is expecting a child with someone else.

But Tony got another surprise last week when ex Marie told him that he was also the father of her unborn child – while he doesn’t yet know that he is the biological dad of Nancy’s daughter Morgan.
Tony is keen to keep this latest secret from Diane, to stop his wedding from being called off for good. But in today’s episode, while the pair were having an awkward meal with Nancy and Darren, Marie sent a text asking to meet up.

Later, Tony headed to the salon and gave Mercedes a necklace for her birthday, but he was spotted by jealous Diane.
He then approached Marie and told her that while she wanted to be in their child’s life, he simply couldn’t tell Diane at this point in time.
In response, Marie explained that she had found a house in Liverpool for her to make a fresh start – and threatened to tell Diane the truth unless he gave her the £10,000 she needed for the deposit.

Tony took £5,000 out of his joint account and gave it to Marie, but she insisted that this wasn’t enough for the house.
Diane noticed the money was missing and jumped to the wrong conclusion, assuming that Tony had used the cash to buy Mercedes the necklace.
She confronted the pair and warned Tony and Mercedes to stay away from each other. Mercedes asked Tony to come to her gender scan for the baby the next day and he said he would try to make it – but he then told Diane that he would cut Mercedes out of his life.

Later, with Tony not answering her calls, lonely Mercedes reached out to her ex Warren and left him a message telling him about her pregnancy.
But listening to the message was mysterious new character Gemma, who deleted the voicemail without Warren’s knowledge.
With Warren and newcomer Gemma (played by Steph Britton) set to appear in Hollyoaks Later next week before Gemma joins the show permanently, what is the relationship between these two?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
