Leeds United ended the summer window in failure. Robbie Evans described the window as a good period, with a bad ending – but the lack of attacking additions angered supporters.
It is unclear if Leeds are to re-enter the market come January, after managing director Evans claimed that Leeds had maxed out their PSR position. But reports say Leeds could still do business in the winter.
It would mean Leeds would have to sell a player in order to buy one, but The 49ers showed a willingness to go beyond the PSR line in the summer when they attempted to sign Harry Wilson from Fulham.
Leeds still lack top-quality, proven Premier League options in attack. Brenden Aaronson’s place in the starting line-up in the last four games proves that. Now, Jermaine Beckford has some transfer advice.

Plenty of players have been linked with Leeds since the summer window. Even Serie A duo Lorenzo Pellegrini and Piotr Zielinski have been touted as Leeds targets ahead of the January transfer window.
But Pellegrini’s wages are likely to be huge, and Zielinski has a contract at Inter until June 2028. A loan may be possible for Zielinski, but most Leeds fans would like their club to go back in for Fulham’s Wilson.
Beckford told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he would love Leeds to sign Wilson, after their failed move in the summer: “I like him, I like him a lot. I think he’s a fantastic football player. He’s very intelligent.

“He’s very intelligent on and off the ball. Positional sense is great. Distribution is fantastic, his awareness, it would suit us down to the ground. That’s why we were in for him. I’d like to see him in a Leeds shirt.”

January could see Leeds pick up a bargain in Harry Wilson
By the time January hits, Wilson will have entered the final six months of his Fulham contract. But, Marco Silva has already made it clear that he wants Wilson to stay, and is confident of him signing a new deal.
Whether Leeds can tempt Wilson over a move to Elland Road between now and January remains to be seen. Certainly, the presence of Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, Karl Darlow, and Dan James at Wales helps.
Leeds going back in for Wilson determines whether The Cottagers can agree a new deal for the set-piece specialist. In the summer, Evans made it clear Wilson was keen and Leeds will have to hope that remains.
