Essex trains to Liverpool Street cancelled and delayed

Some train are being cancelled due to the issue between Chelmsford and Ingatestone as trains are running at reduced speeds.

Many routes are affected and disruption is expected until 11am.

Affected routes

• Clacton on Sea to London Liverpool Street
• Colchester Town to London Liverpool Street
• Braintree to London Liverpool Street
• Ipswich to London Liverpool Street
• Intercity services between Norwich and London Liverpool Street

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.

Some services will be using the opposite line towards London to bypass the affected area. This will result in delays to services towards Chelmsford.
