Good Morning Britain host Adil Ray has stunned fans with throwback snaps showing him more than 20 years ago.

The TV star, who is best known to viewers as a presenter on the ITV show, looked totally different in the two images from earlier in his career.

Uploading them to Instagram, Adil told his followers that the shots were for a magazine shoot when he was around 30.

He wrote: “As it’s a Monday I thought I’d start your week with some vanity dressed up as brightness!

“Yes this is me. Circa 2003. When I was working on the radio for the BBC at The Asian Network.”

Adi, 51, went on: “I was there for nine years and joined when they only served the elder generation. I suggested they look for younger audiences.

“I hosted the late night show, then drive then breakfast focussing on new artists and comedy. Today the entire station focusses on music for the younger generation. Personally, I think they’ve taken it too far as what I enjoyed most was the family audience at AN. No other station has it.”

He went on: “But anyway, I needed to look cool! So I did my best. This was a photoshoot for ASIAN BRIDE magazine. Myself and a bunch of Asian faces at the time dressed up and posed for brides to be! Go figure!”

Adil went on: “Looking back it almost feels like ‘here’s what you could have won’. Or did well to avoid? Anyhow I was young (30?, ok so not that young) but still a little naive. Nothing’s changed. And I still haven’t mastered the pout.

“Be sure to swipe – the second outfit was something I had made on a trip to Pakistan.”

Fans were blown away by the photos, with many dropping heart emojis in the comments section.

“Cute then, more handsome now,” commented someone else, as another remarked: “Well that’s a nice start to a Monday morning!”
