Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man

A man was found dead in Walton this afternoon. Merseyside Police were called to Crescent Road at around 12.20pm today, October 15, following reports a man had been found. He was confirmed dead a short time later.
The area was cordoned off but this has since been lifted. However, a small police presence remains at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, police confirmed. Enquiries are ongoing to formally identify the man.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that officers are in Walton following the sudden death of a man today, Wednesday October 15.
“At around 12.20pm, we were called to Crescent Road off Rice Lane to a man being found. He was sadly confirmed as deceased a short time later.
“At this time, there are no thought to be any suspicious circumstances. Enquiries are ongoing to formally identify him.”
