Although the World Cup is still a little while away, the German Football Association (DFB) is busy with pre-tournament preparations.

According to Bild (via @iMiaSanMia), the final friendly opponents ahead of the World Cup have been finalized. The last opponent before the tournament will be none other than one of the co-hosts, the United States of America. The dress rehearsal will be held in early June.

The last time Germany played the USA was two years ago, in Julian Nagelsmann’s first game in charge of the national team. The Germans defeated the Americans on their home turf with goals from Ílkay Gündoğan, Niclas Füllkrug, and Jamal Musiala.

Before that, Bild says that Germany will face Ivory Coast, Switzerland, and Finland in the games leading up to the tournament.

That said, this is all assuming Germany qualifies for the World Cup, of course. Germany still needs to win their next two games against Luxembourg and Slovakia, or get four points depending on other results, to get to the finals.
