Everything else we know about Sweet Discoveries in Pokémon Go

Sweet Discoveries is running until Tuesday 29th April at 8pm (local time) in Pokémon Go and has a bunch of bonuses for you to enjoy. Firstly, three Pokémon have increased shiny odds! In the wild, you’ll have an increased chance of encountering shiny Delibird and shiny Skowvet. You’ll also have an increased chance of hatching a shiny Delibird, shiny Cherubi and shiny Skowvet.

Delibird has increased shiny odds.

Our third bonus sees everyone earning double catch candy. Perfect for any Pokémon you’re hoping to evolve or power up! You’ll also earn berries from catching both Delibird and Skowvet. The fifth bonus sees apples appearing when you use a Mossy Lure Module.

The final bonus is tied to the Pokémon Go Egg hatching widget. Here the first three eggs you hatch using this widget will see their hatch distances being halved. It’s important to note that this bonus will only work on eggs placed in Incubators during the event hours.

Sweet Discoveries also marks the release of Applin, Flapple and Appletun in Pokémon Go. These apple themed Pokémon hail from the Galar region, which makes them part of Gen 8. Evolving Applin involves finding apples, so make sure you check out our Sweet and Tart Apples guide alongside our how to get Applin page so you’re prepared for this new Pokémon.
