Man due to appear in court following serious assault and robbery in Edinburgh

Police in Edinburgh have arrested and charged a 20-year-old man in connection with a serious assault and robbery in the north side of the city.

The incident took place around 1.35pm on Tuesday, 14 October, 2025 in Granton Place.

The 20-year-old male victim was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the accused is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, 16 October, 2025.

Officers said that their enquiries are ongoing.
