Prince Harryand Meghan Markle — who were honored in New York for their mental health advocacy work — were accused of snubbing Prince William and Kate Middleton due to their similar projects in the U.K.
However, one royal expert believes the family feud may have thawed.

“I don’t think this is a rivalry between Harry and Meghan and William and Catherine,” royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the The Mirror. “The two princes and Catherine were involved in mental health issues before Meghan came along. It is something they care deeply about.”
“The message that both couples are now promoting is that society has to do something about the dangers that the Internet, and particularly social media, pose to our children,” Jennie Bond continued. “It is an important message, and one that affects us all.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been keeping busy with their Archewell Foundation, which they created after leaving the U.K. in 2020.
“I think they’ve moved on from their royal roles,” Jennie Bond said. “They are now full-blown celebrities. And this award was for both of them, so it was natural that they make a joint appearance.”
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were being honored by Project Healthy Minds on World Mental Health Day, Prince William was sharing information on the ripple effects of suicide.
“I think both couples should rightly be applauded for using their fame, be it as royals or celebrities, to highlight this crucial issue,” Jennie Bond noted.
