All the parts of the UK facing snowfall as we head through October and towards November have been revealed – with flurries set to cover all FOUR Home Nations.

England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland could all be hit by a dusting of the white stuff. The flurries are anticipated to hit in and around October 27 into October 28, with -1C lows expected.

In England, north eastern parts of the country are at risk. This is alongside the central Welsh region, parts of the Northern Irish eastern coast, and central Scotland and the Highlands region and communities too.

Inverness could see 2cm per hour as it is worst-hit by the downturn in conditions, with temperatures plunging.

North of the border, Scotland faces a covering of snow which could be concentrated in and around October 28. Flurries will intensify as October ends, with the penultimate month of the year soon arriving.

The maps and charts have been projected using the GFS model, which is run through WX Charts, using Met Desk data.

A BBC Weather forecast, in the short-term, says: “High pressure overhead will bring a cloudy day for much of the UK. Some light rain and drizzle will develop in the far north, east and south but there will be a few sunny breaks in places too.

“Remaining mostly cloudy tonight with some drizzle in eastern areas. More in the way of clear spells in north and east Scotland, north England, Wales and the south-west. Turning breezier in the west.”

Looking ahead at the weekend, the Beeb adds: “Variable cloud and sunny spells across the UK tomorrow, the best of these in northern Scotland. Cloudier in Northern Ireland and the far west with rain and stronger winds arriving late in the evening.

“On Sunday, a band of rain will sweep eastwards across the UK, clearing from Northern Ireland, Wales and south-west England in the evening. Strong winds will be possible at times.

“Turning windy in southern England on Monday with blustery showers, some thundery. Becoming drier in the north as rain clears north-eastwards. Showers and sunny spells on Tuesday, and windier for many.”
