The business is taking over a former Iceland food store site in St Thomas Street which has been empty since the autumn of 2021.

A new planning application to Dorset Council asks for a mini course on the ground floor, along with a reception area and bar, and a second 12-hole course on the first floor.

The application includes new staircases, new loos, storage and an air conditioning and ventilation system.

The company says the changed will not alter any of the features of the main facade of the building.

It claims, in it planning application, that it will attract new visitors and revitalise the area, offering a new indoor attraction which it is widely believed Weymouth needs for wet-weather and out of season days.

The business has also applied for new advertising signs above the former shopfront with vinyl signs across the windows.

The full details of the proposal for the internal changes to the building can be found on the Dorset Council website using the planning reference provided.
