Garmin has released a new stable software update for the Bounce 2, roughly a month after introducing the smartwatch globally (curr. $299.99 on Amazon). According to the company, Software Version 4.28 replaces Software 4.19, which appears to have been the device’s launch software. In a forum post, Garmin clarifies that the new update makes nine changes.
Of those, five are bug fixes, including one that could cause a system crash when deleting a swim activity. Similarly, another is said to resolve another system crash-inducing situation when selecting certain fields on the lap alert page. Also, the power off page is now accessible when the Bounce 2 is running in school mode.
Moreover, Garmin claims to have reduced screen brightness when sleep mode is activated. On top of that, the company believes that Software Version 4.28 improves the LTE calling experience in several areas. The full changelog for Garmin’s latest Bounce 2 update can be found below. Please note that one must download Software Version 4.28 and all future updates via the Garmin Jr. app.
