Leeds United News have the latest exclusive information regarding a former player, who has had plenty of interest in the Premier League and across Europe lately.
Leeds United have not retained the services of every player to come through at Elland Road, but there is a consistent stream of talented footballers who are produced by the famous Thorp Arch academy set-up.
James Milner, Kalvin Phillips, and Aaron Lennon were all England internationals at one stage, and the list is much longer than that as far as Leeds are concerned.
Archie and Harry Gray may reach those heights one day, and Leeds’ development of players should be praised, including Charlie Cresswell. He may well be developing elsewhere, but Leeds had a part to play.

Cresswell has thanked Leeds for his development previously, but the centre-back only made 14 appearances for the senior team. He captained various youth teams throughout an 11-year career.
That started at the age of 10 or 11 back in 2013. Since then, Cresswell admitted to aspirations of playing more for Leeds. That didn’t happen and he was sold to Toulouse in the summer of 2024.
West Ham United like Toulouse’s Cresswell, with Leeds having a 15% sell-on clause in the deal to sell the 23-year-old to the Ligue 1 outfit. In fact, Cresswell was a late-window target for West Ham.
Nothing materialised, but Borussia Dortmund are also tracking Cresswell — per David Ornstein. The interest seems to be mounting, given the latest developments.
MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES
It’s previously been reported Liverpool have also looked at Cresswell, with the Reds keeping tabs on his rapid progress since leaving Leeds for the French top flight. However, their cross-city rivals are also admirers.
Transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey spoke to Leeds United News exclusively, stating the latest on Cresswell’s situation. He said: “Half the Premier League is looking at him now.
“He’s having a very good time of it in France. He also had a brilliant Euros, which I think was a big thing for him. You saw that he marked [Nick] Woltemade out of the final.
“Leeds have the sell-on and don’t be surprised to see him come back to England in January. Everton are aware of him, too.”

Leeds fans believe selling Cresswell for £3.8million was a mistake but he could benefit Leeds in the short-term if Toulouse choose to cash in during the winter window.
We explained why Cresswell’s sale could land Leeds PSR headroom previously, with it previously stated that Toulouse want as much as £18million for Cresswell in the summer.
Our finance expert Adam Williams explained: “A fee like that gives Leeds £2.7 million towards their bottom line, which gives them £2.7 million more PSR capacity.
“In a sense, that could, for example, be used to sign a £13.5 million player on a five-year amortised deal at Elland Road.”
