A 40-year-old woman found stabbed to death in East London has been named and pictured for the first. Agne Druskienea was pronounced dead at the scene after paramedics were called to a stabbing in Hornchurch last night (Saturday, October 18).

Her husband, Augustinas Druskis, 43, of Cranham Road, Hornchurch, has been charged with murder. He will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Agne was found at a residential property in Cranham Road at around 1.40am last night. While formal identification has yet to take place, she has been named and her next of kin have been informed.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service called officers to a stabbing at a residential property in Cranham Road, Hornchurch at 01:04hrs on Saturday, 18 October.

“Despite the best efforts of emergency workers, Agne was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“Agne’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

“The man – who was married to the victim – was arrested at the scene.

“Anyone with information relating to the incident is urged to contact the Met via 101, quoting 376/18OCT. Those who wish to remain anonymous can speak to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
