Northern Ireland should be rightfully aggrieved by the referee’s performance against Germany
Week in, week out, I watch some managers struggle to explain or justify a poor performance or result and on some occasions, they’ll even point the finger at the referee as they desperately seek to shift the blame.
I generally always try to stick up for the officials because I appreciate it’s a really difficult job, especially with the antics of the cheats and phonies who are everywhere in the modern game.
