The event, run in partnership with North Ayrshire Arts and Culture, is aimed at local teachers, tutors, practitioners, and young people aged 16+ centred around creative careers.

You can bring along your group or individual young people to take part in taster workshops in performance, production and community arts.

And they will prioritise young people from deprived backgrounds. Sessions are led by industry professionals from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS)

You will be able to find out about a range of creative opportunities across North Ayrshire and at RCS, from undergraduate degrees to their Fair Access programme, which supports young people from the most deprived areas of Scotland and those with care experience into higher arts education.

It is a chance to get inspired, meet like-minded young people and have burning questions answered.

They will prioritise places for groups where the majority of young people are from a Fair Access background.

That means they are aged between 16-21 and meet one or more of the following criteria; living in an Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation 20 or 40 postcode, care experienced or are estranged and receiving no support from family.

The event will run in Saltcoats Town Hall on Wednesday, October 29 from 10am – 2pm.
