After RRR, Ram Charan has been waiting for a solid hit. His brief role in Acharya and the dissapointing result of Game Changer left fans eager to see him back on the big screen. His upcoming film Peddi, directed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana, has been one of the most awaited Telugu films in production.
Earlier this year, the film’s teaser created a buzz online, especially for the final shot where Ram Charan hits the ball out of the ground in a striking moment. The makers had initially announced March 27, 2026, Charan’s birthday as the release date.
The team is currently filming a duet featuring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in Pune. Around 60% of the shoot has been completed so far. Post-production work on the first half is already finished, and editing is underway in parallel.
Recently, director Buchi Babu Sana spoke to the media, sharing an update on the film’s progress. He confirmed that the team is working hard to bring Peddi to theatres as planned but with a small change. Instead of March 27, the release will now be preponed to March 26, coinciding with Sri Rama Navami, which falls on a Thursday. This move aims to take advantage of the extended four-day weekend for a stronger box-office opening.
The director also revealed that the first song, a love track composed by A.R. Rahman, will be released soon. Peddi is a sports drama set in the Uttarandhra region, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, with Kannada actor Shiv Rajkumar in a key role.
Interestingly, Nani’s The Paradise, which was also announced for March 26, is now likely to be postponed.
