Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV this weekend for the first live semi-final of the series. A total of eight acts will perform for the judges as they compete for the public vote.
Magicians, singers and dancers will all grace the screen tonight (April 26) as the official line-up has now been confirmed. There is a £250,000 cash prize up for grabs, and a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance.
For the first time in BGT history, the acts are not only are they competing for the public vote, but also for the judges’ or Ant & Dec’s Golden Buzzer, which will send the act straight through to the final. Only two of the eight acts will be making it through.
There has been plenty to talk about so far, like Amanda Holden surprising her fellow judges when she announced she was the only judge to have been a part of the show for the full 18 years it has aired.

The show will air on ITV and ITVX at 7pm on Saturday, April 26.
The bumper episode will last two hours, finishing at 9.05pm, when The 1% Club will take over.
Ant and Dec host as the first eight acts that made it through the audition rounds perform in front of the judges and a live audience.
For the first time, the golden buzzer appears in the live rounds, giving judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, as well as presenters Ant and Dec, the power to send one act straight through to the grand final.
The audience will then vote for their favourite act, who will win the second place.

Vinnie, 29, impressed with his opera cover of The Proclaimers’ song I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and he became Simon’s golden buzzer act.
The Blackouts got a group golden buzzer from all four judges with Bruno saying: “Talk about a magic ride, choreographed to perfection. I can’t wait to see what you are going to do next.”
Linda, 21, won Alesha’s golden buzzer vote as she was blown away by the rendition of You Say by Lauren Daigle.

For the first guest performance of the series, Karis Anderson will be starring as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner, in an electrifying performance from Tina – The Tina Turner Musical.
The long-running hit is a “celebration of resilience and triumph over adversity” and can now be seen in London’s West End and on tour around the country.
