McConnell and Morris both played for Emerging Scotland last year against Italy with the former captaining the side. Masibaka was part of last season’s Six Nations squad and toured with Scotland in the summer but did not make a Test appearance.

Sione Tuipulotu retains captaincy of the side for the series which will consist of four matches against USA on Saturday 1st November (outside the international window so likely to involve only Scots based players), New Zealand on Saturday 8th November, Argentina on Sunday 16h November and Tonga on Sunday 23rd November.

Edinburgh Rugby captain Magnus Bradbury returns to the international fold as one of 10 back-rows in the squad, seeking a first Scotland cap since the 2022 tour to Argentina.

His capital club-mate Ross Thompson is one of four stand-offs selected, and with Finn Russell (Bath) and Fergus Burke (Saracens) both likely to miss the USA game due to not being released by their English clubs, he is likely to feature in that series opener.
