Piers Morgan has sparked uproar online following his “disturbing” rant about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ahead of the release of his new book. On Tuesday (October 21), the Uncensored host appeared on The Daily T podcast with Camilla Tominey, where he delivered his unfiltered opinions on the Sussexes. His upcoming book, Woke Is Dead, claims to welcome the return of a common-sense world.
In Woke Is Dead, Morgan discusses how the woke movement has transformed society forever, fuelling cancel culture on a global scale. Discussing his book with the GB News presenter, she couldn’t help but turn the conversation onto the royals, who feature heavily in the book.
She asked pointedly: “Do you actually hate Harry and Meghan? Because they do feature in a chapter in the book, a royal chapter.”
Morgan responded: “No, I actually have less and less interest in them. But yes, there is a chapter really about the royals generally but also about—to me—what they represent.
“[Harry and Meghan] are the epitome of the worst aspects of wokeism, the virtue signalling, the victimhood, the always blaming other people, and the rank hypocrisy,” he raged.
“Like they’re jumping on private jets and then preaching about the environment, preaching about poverty on their Twitter account, and then spending $1 million on a baby shower and so on.
“There’s an underpinning of hypocrisy, double standards, virtue signalling, victimhood, all these things which I despise about the woke mentality. But they’ve become increasingly less relevant, really,” he concluded.

It didn’t take long for listeners to take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their reactions to Morgan’s rant. Many expressed shock and amusement at his focus on the Sussexes the Express reports.
One user wrote: “It’s quite disturbing how obsessed Morgan is with them. For someone who is meant to have no interest in them, he talks about them all the time.”
While another echoed this statement, penning: “For two people that have become less relevant, why would you take the time out to even mention them in the book that would’ve been a great follow-up question from a good journalist?”
A third joked: “Quick… let’s bang on about Harry & Meghan (AGAIN) Just don’t talk about Andrew and what he represents,” along with a shifty eyes emoji.
Meanwhile a fourth user quipped: “Basically, Piers has never got over Meghan not fancying him.”
